Alex Lochoff

Alex joins Elevate Tutoring as its first full-time Executive Director. After graduating from Dartmouth College with degrees in psychology and education, Alex joined Teach for America, moved to California, and began work as a fifth-grade teacher. These years in the classroom were formative for Alex and ignited in him a deep passion for supporting students and improving education. In 2019, Alex joined Edpuzzle, an EdTech company, where he led the curriculum and education teams. During that time, the company grew to serve more than 2 million teachers across more than 90% of schools in the USA. However, Alex was eager to refocus on the human side of education and pivot back to impact-driven work. Alex jumped at the opportunity to join the Elevate team and is thrilled to shepherd the organization through its next stage of growth. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find Alex playing disc golf at a local course, floating down a river in a whitewater kayak, or enjoying the nature around him in Santa Cruz.
